a while back a bunch of friends were redrawing shoujo manga covers, and even though that was a really long time ago i thought i’d do the same thing and do a kaze to ki no uta cover because it’s one of my faves…..
I aim to do a small series of anime girlies as demons. The first is Utena!! I loved playing with her already super cool costume and stuff. This’ll be a print available at Anime Boston.

Sometimes I feel like Sailor Moon negatively influenced me into accepting that relationships between 14 year olds and dudes in their 20s was like, a normal thing, all at a very impressionable age (12? I think?)
I think about this every time anyone goes on about how great this show is for little girls because feminism, etc. (not discounting that, but COME ON Mamoru is how old again?)
They remind me of my boyfriend and myself LOL but we don’t have that age gap :P
